when i make my cloud paintings i usually stick with a certain color scheme, lots of reds, yellows, blues, and oranges. as i put the light yellow and light blue colors on the paper, i was thinking i need one more color. i looked at the yellow and blue on the palette, started swirling them together, making this kind of seafoam green, very reminiscent of mint chocolate chip ice cream. as soon as that green touched the paper i immediately thought this is a bad idea and later as i started to paint more of it on i was like you know what, green clouds, why not?
sometimes we are so consumed by the norm or the status quo that we forget about our individuality and originality. i believe fear is the number one reason why we don’t do the things we love, say the things we really mean, and be who we really are. if you ever find yourself doing something out of your comfort zone and doubting it or being paralyzed by fear, just say to yourself, why not?
what keeps your head in the clouds?
